Hey guys,

Sorry I haven’t posted in a long time, I’ve been very busy with school work. I haven’t attended several FNMs in a row but I did show up last week for a few minutes. The quest is still continuing but it will just be trades I get here and there. I don’t have time to play Magic full time. Also, I realized that I don’t have time to take pics of trades because it annoys people and it’s slow. I’ll stick to keeping text updates of my trades.

Overall I should say that this is quiet good of a pull in my opinion. I wasn’t expecting a primeval titan or baneslayer angel and this certainly beats wild evocation or cyclops gladiator(@alex). Some good synergy between the cards should make them easier to trade. Liliana’s Specter + Liliana’s Caress will certainly work well in a Megrim/Burning Inquiry deck. Serra Ascendant and Ajani’s Mantra can be used in Gavin Verhey’s Soul Sisters deck from US Nats. Although he didn’t Top 8, this deck is great since it gains life every turn. Pair that up with Ajani’s Pridemate and you’ll have huge 12/12’s or more swinging most of the time. This deck is competitive and can fit a casual player’s budget. On another note, the EV is this pack was higher than I expected. This is because Serra Ascendant jumped from $1 to $5 in the past week. The rest of the pack is just your ordinary commons/uncommons, but one day they’ll be Jace, the mind sculptor.

My first order of business tonight is to trade up from commons/uncommons to junk but playable and tradable rares. By the way, the basic forest and tip card will be signed, but I don’t want to trade the tip card at the beginning. I’ll try to go from pack to binder this week! If anyone wants to trade I’ll be @ UW’s FNM.

Prep

Just setting up the blog, guess I should’ve hosted it myself so I could add custom MTG plugins. Anyways, I’m going to buy the pack this week and open it before FNM so I can update the blog with pack contents and pics. More rules and details will follow in the next few posts.
